Today I received a water damaged phone for repair, opened it up

Heat sinks colour is not right, that suggests last shop used too much heat. Continue to disassemble it.

Ooops, the EMI shield covering cellular chips fall off, and something is definitely wrong.

Where are the switching and signal amplify ICs ?

Well Done, who ever touched this phone.

That is why we don’t usually repair phones that somebody else touched.

In this case, we will attempt to repair this phone, to be continued…

It turns out touch screen power management IC is faulty, replaced, it powers on.

Easy, right?

But! Backlight is not working! Doh!

Found FL2024 backlight fuse is blown

Now, going to change the backlight IC
